Semi-formal garden party attire: think florals, bright colors, and outfits that make you feel amazing. Garden party style is polished yet playful: midi dresses, suits in light fabrics, and fun accessories all fit the vibe. Since the ceremony and reception will take place outdoors, we strongly recommend a chunky heel, block heel, or stylish flats for strolling comfortably through the redwoods. Think of these as outfit vibes, not rules. Come dressed to feel your best!

The ceremony and dinner will take place outside, followed by dancing and afterparty indoors. Average weather for Big Sur end of June is low 49 degrees and high 75 degrees with minimal chance of rain.

If you’re staying outside of Glen Oaks, there is a parking lot located near the ceremony site. You may drive down and park there before the ceremony. Afterward, we’ll walk together up to the reception. Limited parking is available at the reception site for those who prefer to drive up instead. After the Reception: If you parked down by the ceremony site, you’ll return to your car by walking back down the illuminated redwood path at the end of the night. For convenience, the shuttle will make one trip down to the lower lot at 9:45pm before continuing on to the after party.

Shuttle Schedule: At 9:45pm, the shuttle will make a trip down to the ceremony parking lot and return to the reception. Starting at 10:00pm, it will begin transporting guests to the after party at Fernwood. Throughout the night, the shuttle will run between Fernwood, Glen Oaks, and Big Sur Lodge as needed. Service will conclude at 1:30am.

For guests staying outside of Glen Oaks, we kindly encourage carpooling to help minimize traffic and parking needs. If you need to leave your car overnight, Glen Oaks has kindly allowed it—just be sure to retrieve it early the next morning.

Please note: Rideshare apps like Uber and Lyft are not available in Big Sur. If you’re staying outside the area, we recommend arranging a taxi service in advance for both pickup and return to your hotel if needed. Guests staying in Glen Oaks can drive down if preferred, otherwise you'd take the redwoods path down to the ceremony.
